Winter Seeds are a type of seed. Mature plants yield, at random, a Winter Root, Crystal Fruit, Snow Yam, or Crocus.

It can be obtained through crafting or placing Winter Root into Seed Maker. Crafting produces 10 seeds, whereas placing winter root into seed maker produces 1 to 3 seeds. The Traveling Cart may sell only one seed for data-sort-value="100">100g.

Unlike other crops, on the day a plant from a winter seed is available for harvest, there is a chance that the tile will revert from a tilled state to a non-tilled state, requiring the player to use the Hoe again to make the area plantable.
