Large Stumps and Large Logs are the main sources of Hardwood in the game.

They can initially be found on the farm and in the area around the ranch. Once harvested, they won't respawn there, in opposition to the Secret Woods, that contain 6 Stumps you can harvest daily for a total of 12 Hardwood a day.

Large stumps can be harvested by copper axes and above.

One stump drops 2 pieces of hardwood. It takes 5 hits with a Steel Axe to break the stump, making it the hardest and most resistant form of wood in the game.
