::Hmmm, interesting indeed. I guess I don't see the difference. When 2 big stones will equal 10 and 1 small stone is 1, then 11 "clicks", or "Check / Do Action / Use Cursor" on whatever platform, would bring that fluteblock for the 2nd grouping to its 11th note and thus create the correct sound at that point in the riddle. Maybe "clicks" is not the best wording then? Thanks again, be well. Carpediem (talk) 20:56, 10 January 2025 (UTC)

::I'm going to give a quick code insight by the way and note that the game only cares about relative pitch; in fact, this means that the first note block can be *any value* and as long as you go the correct amount up and down for each following block it's valid. The only limitation is that you can't loop around the 24, but that still means there are as many as 16 different valid solutions. So while it's peculiar, 0 9 7 3 5 clicks and 15 24 22 18 20 clicks both work. I don't know if you want to include that or not but it does make saying there's just 2 is incorrect. But I suppose the two listed are the two most intended solutions.CandyNim (talk) 06:43, 11 January 2025 (UTC)

Edits on Crops, Spring, and Summer

Hi margotbean, I hope you enjoyed (or still are enjoying) your holidays. I see that you added back the value of data-sort-value="13.33">13.33g/d to summer squash on both the Crops and Summer pages, but I'm still not sure why you undid the other formatting edits I did on those three pages.

I would appreciate if you could review this changes again when you have time, and should they be ok, perform these edits to the Spring and Summer pages (seeing how you locked all season pages to be only editable by admins). Alt (talk) 08:37, 8 January 2025 (UTC)

Nothing has changed, I reviewed the edits and the pages are fine margotbean (talk) 23:04, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
Ok, I'm not saying the pages weren't fine already, and I really don't mean to be a bother, but I just don't see what's wrong with keeping the formatting of those crop entries consistent across (and within) these three pages. I've edited other wikis before, and inconsistent formatting is something that always irritates me to some extend (I realise this could just be me), so whenever I see inconsistencies in any wiki I read, I always feel an urge to unify the formatting if I can. Also, I re-read Help:Editing again, and I realise I did not discuss any of those changes beforehand, per Help:Editing#Formatting; I sincerely apologise for that. RE: Journal Scrap #9 solution order

Hello MargotBean, I hope you are well. The upkeep of the wiki has been amazing throughout these past upgrades to v1.6+. A certain issue in the wiki has bothered me for some time. RE: Journal Scrap #9, in the solution section, the 2 solutions were listed in the wrong order. The note hints, "Aye... stones as big as 'ones' and stones as big as 'fives' were they..." therefore the numbers directly UNDER the images should be the 2nd shown sequence of "2 clicks, 11 clicks, 9 clicks, 5 clicks, 7 clicks" because this corresponds to the note's hint (2 small stones = 2), (2 large + 1 small = 11), (1 large + 4 small = 9), (1 large = 5), and finally (1 large + 2 small = 7). Then the 2nd sequence, which is 1 note less on each stone than the hint implies, listed as an alternative solution. I believe this alternative may seem to work better for some players not on PC (mobile possibly) but it is not the solution to the hint in the note and should be relegated to the second row. I made the change today, I just don't know how, or if, I'm supposed to do this in other languages. Best Regards, Carpediem (talk) 20:29, 9 January 2025 (UTC) Edit: I also belatedly just made this adjustment on the Ginger Island / Mermaid section to switch the order of the 2 solutions (I didn't initially realize it was in another location). Both of these were done on the English wiki only. Carpediem (talk) 22:04, 9 January 2025 (UTC)

That sounds fine, and thanks for your note! Interestingly enough, there was a survey among testers when 1.5 was in beta asking if they thought "5" meant "5 clicks" or "get the flute block to the 5th note". I think musically inclined people (like ConcernedApe) might think differently about the puzzle than others. I can't remember the results of the survey, unfortunately... margotbean (talk) 01:07, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
Hmmm, interesting indeed.
I'm going to give a quick code insight by the way and note that the game only cares about relative pitch; in fact, this means that the first note block can be *any value* and as long as you go the correct amount up and down for each following block it's valid.

Raccoon Shipping Order

I realized that there's more peculiarity to the raccoon shipping order than I expected and so I'm just gonna give you the info and figure out how to best present it. So, the raccoons give you recentlyDiscoveredMissingBasicShippedItem, which is set in getFarmerItemsShippedPercent, where it goes by order of ItemRegistry.GetObjectTypeDefinition().GetAllData() and the first one you haven't done gets shipped. This order is the order done in Objects.json, and here's the order (using object id):

16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 78, 88, 90, 92, 176, 174, 180, 182, 184, 186, 188, 190, 192, 248, 250, 252, 254, 256, 257, 258, 259, 260, 262, 264, 266, 268, 270, 271, 272, 274, 276, 278, 280, 281, 282, 283, 284, 296, 300, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 330, 334, 335, 336, 337, 338, 340, 342, 344, 346, 348, 350, 378, 380, 382, 384, 386, 388, 390, 392, 393, 394, 396, 397, 398, 399, 400, 402, 404, 406, 408, 410, 412, 414, 416, 417, 418, 420, 421, 422, 424, 426, 428, 430, 432, 433, 436, 438, 440, 442, 444, 446, 447, 454, 459, 591, 593, 595, 597, 376, 613, 614, 634, 635, 636, 637, 638, 684, 709, 724, 725, 726, 766, 767, 768, 769, 771, 787, 807, 812, 445, 814, 815, 289, 91, 829, 830, 832, 834, 848, 851, 881, 909, 910, 'Moss', 'MysticSyrup', 'Raisins', 'DriedFruit', 'DriedMushrooms', 'Carrot', 'SummerSquash', 'Broccoli', 'Powdermelon', 'SmokedFish'

Here's the same list but using the names:

Wild Horseradish, Daffodil, Leek, Dandelion, Parsnip, Cave Carrot, Coconut, Cactus Fruit, Sap, Egg, Large Egg, Egg, Large Egg, Milk, Large Milk, Green Bean, Cauliflower, Potato, Garlic, Kale, Rhubarb, Melon, Tomato, Morel, Blueberry, Fiddlehead Fern, Hot Pepper, Wheat, Radish, Red Cabbage, Starfruit, Corn, Unmilled Rice, Eggplant, Artichoke, Pumpkin, Bok Choy, Yam, Chanterelle, Cranberries, Holly, Beet, Salmonberry, Amaranth, Pale Ale, Hops, Void Egg, Mayonnaise, Duck Mayonnaise, Void Mayonnaise, Clay, Copper Bar, Iron Bar, Gold Bar, Iridium Bar, Refined Quartz, Honey, Pickles, Jelly, Beer, Wine, Juice, Copper Ore, Iron Ore, Coal, Gold Ore, Iridium Ore, Wood, Stone, Nautilus Shell, Coral, Rainbow Shell, Spice Berry, Sea Urchin, Grape, Spring Onion, Strawberry, Sweet Pea, Common Mushroom, Wild Plum, Hazelnut, Blackberry, Winter Root, Crystal Fruit, Snow Yam, Sweet Gem Berry, Crocus, Red Mushroom, Sunflower, Purple Mushroom, Cheese, Goat Cheese, Cloth, Truffle, Truffle Oil, Goat Milk, L. Goat Milk, Wool, Duck Egg, Duck Feather, Rabbit's Foot, Aged Roe, Ancient Fruit, Mead, Tulip, Summer Spangle, Fairy Rose, Blue Jazz, Poppy, Apple, Green Tea, Apricot, Orange, Peach, Pomegranate, Cherry, Bug Meat, Hardwood, Maple Syrup, Oak Resin, Pine Tar, Slime, Bat Wing, Solar Essence, Void Essence, Fiber, Battery Pack, Dinosaur Mayonnaise, Roe, Caviar, Squid Ink, Tea Leaves, Ostrich Egg, Banana, Ginger, Taro Root, Pineapple, Mango, Cinder Shard, Magma Cap, Bone Fragment, Radioactive Ore, Radioactive Bar, Moss, Mystic Syrup, Raisins, Dried, Dried, Carrot, Summer Squash, Broccoli, Powdermelon, Smoked

Now, the order shown on the shipping page isn't quite done in the same way. Instead, it's done through orderby entry.TextureName, entry.SpriteIndex. Essentially it first sorts by the texture page, and then by the sprite index. In addition, wine/jelly/pickle/juice are manually inserted at the correct location. The only texture pages used are normal, wine/jelly/pickle/juice, and 1.6 items. The sprite index is always identical to object id for non 1.6 items, and for 1.6 items all the shipping collection items are in the same order as the data file.

What this means is that the 1.6 items are last (which correlates with the shown image), but that the earlier items are shown sorted by item id but given based off of objects.json order. Now, in that big list above it's hard to see the incongruencies so let me give you those.

White Egg [176] goes before Large White Egg [174] (shipping page has it the other order)

Poppy [376] goes between Blue Jazz [597] and Apple [613] (shipping page has it between Juice and Copper Ore)

Caviar would be earlier but it's an artisan item so doesn't matter

Ostrich Egg [289] + Banana [91] go after tea leaves [815] (where the 1.5 items start) (shipping page has banana between cactus fruit and sap and ostrich egg between beet and salmonberry)

Note that these results have been tested in game (at least, banana and white egg have been). I want this information to be available, but I'm not sure what a good way to do it is. Perhaps an asterix on the giant stump page saying that the order is slightly different in this way? CandyNim (talk) 06:30, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
