Translators stumble over mediawiki syntax on a daily basis. Having external links seems to be less of a problem for them to interpret. margotbean (talk) 15:19, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

I really don't think this is a problem. The wikipedia interwiki link is simple enough to use. In fact, I think it's more than possible to just create a template to create Wikipedia links if that's the issue. We use a template on Nookipedia called Template:Wp that gives ease to add interwiki links to Wikipedia.

If it's still that hard to implement though, I'd be happy to assist with implementing interwiki links. -- PanchamBro (talk • contributions) 12:24, 6 July 2022 (UTC)

Game image assets

I was wondering what other editors use as setup to extract and upload game assets. I've read Modding:Editing_XNB_files and installed SMAPI and StardewXnbHack, but what tools do you guys use to extract the assets from the files? I'm having difficulty selecting subsections and keeping the quality up. For instance, some icons I can only get 16x16px while the uploads here all have 48x48. Any tips? New user

When are you "no longer considered a new user"? I want to redirect pages that don't exist (e.g. "Arcade") to pages that do (e.g. "The_Stardrop_Saloon#Arcade"), but I am blocked from doing so, with no documentation on when this restriction will be removed from my account. New user restricions exist to combat spam and vandalism, so publishing the details of how to bypass them would defeat their purpose.

The wiki discourages unnecessary redirects because they confuse translators, especially when editors link to the redirect page instead of directly to the source page. Thanks for your inquiry! margotbean (talk) 12:54, 29 January 2025 (UTC)

Orthographic error

I'm just writing to inform that there's a orthographic error in the Help:Editing page, in the editing section, in the "When making edits, please try to remember to edit all affected pages." topic. When it uses the example of the Spice Berry it then talks about the Spring Seeds, when it should talk about Summer Seeds instead. Thanks. Didi3310 (talk) 12:05, 28 May 2025 (UTC)

Lewis page errors, Fri schedule

Lewis' Fri schedule (all seasons) is incorrect. The wiki page says he is in the Saloon at 9:30pm when in fact he goes there at 5pm and leaves the saloon to go home at 9pm. It should be:

• 8:30am Mayor's Manor is unlocked. Lewis is in his kitchen
• 10:00am Leaves house to Garden in front of Manor (i.e Town 62 88 0 & Town 65 86 3 lewis_garden)
• 11:40am Heads towards Pierre's to stand in front of tree next to Clinic (i.e. Town 30 56)
• 2:00pm Moves to Fountain (i.e Town 29 27 3)
• 5:00pm Goes to The Stardrop Saloon (i.e Saloon 9 22 3 lewis_drink)
• 9:00pm Goes back to Manor to sleep (i.e ManorHouse 22 4 1 lewis_sleep)

i.e The actual content string is: "Fri": "800 ManorHouse 8 5 0/1000 Town 62 88 0/1040 Town 65 86 3 lewis_garden/1140 Town 30 56 2/1400 Town 29 27 3/1700 Saloon 9 22 3 lewis_drink/2300 ManorHouse 22 4 1 lewis_sleep",

Also, Tue schedule (all seasons) states he "wakes up and exits the Manor at 10am" when he actually moves to his kitchen at 8am, so shouldn't this say:

• 8:30am Mayor's Manor is unlocked. Lewis is in his kitchen.
• 10:00am Leaves to Garden in front of the Manor.
• 11:40am Heads to Pierre's (Not at 11:30. Also, do we need to know when he enters Pierre's?)
• 4:00pm Leaves Pierre's for home (not staring at his stove, he walks around [square_5_1_0] as if cooking),
• the remainder is correct - 9pm moves from stove to Pelican Town Data Book, 10pm heads to bed.
