Reaching Locations
Second from the last in the Locations section, the "top of the Volcano Dungeon" is mentioned as the place with a chest that contains a Prismatic Shard. What does "top" mean here? Wouldn't that be the entrance? One can only assume that you descend into the depths of a dungeon. Giles (talk) 03:57, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
- Unlike The Mines and the Skull Cavern that both go downwards, the Volcano Dungeon is a mountain, so it goes upwards. So the "top" is level 10 and the entry is level 0. IBugOne (talk) 06:44, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
Renews?
I'm pretty sure the prismatic shard on the volcano dungeon renews, I've gotten one from it 3 times each time 1 week apart(edit from me, someone maybe me needs to check this) --Coffeefish8344 (talk) 19:17, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
- Pretty sure it doesn't. That one is obtained from a chest in front of the Forge. The chest doesn't respawn and neither does the prismatic shard. --IBugOne (talk) 21:14, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
Found One on the Beach during Multiplayer?
This really needs someone to look into this. I was playing multiplayer and fishing on the beach and I stumbled across one just laying on the sand. No dirt or anything. I was so flabbergasted I just picked it up and went on with my day. I'm only using cosmetics mods as well so I have no idea what happened. Maeshka (talk) 00:54, 21 June 2023

New prismatic shard sources 1.6
I couldn't help but notice that the page has mysteryboxes and golden mysteryboxes listed under the sources, but what it didn't mention was how you can get it from Emilys shop at the desert festival. This could be intentional due to the page for separate villager shops at the desert festival not existing, but I just wanted to point this out. Also I'm sure there are other instances like this, but this is the first I found.

Obtaining the Prismatic Shard in The Mines
Just wanted to clarify if obtaining the Prismatic Shard by means of the Mystic Stone in The Mines from floor 100+ as stated on this page was possible. On the Mystic Stone item page, it appears to be only in the Skull Cavern, Quarry, and Volcano Dungeon. Thank you! Plaidkeys (talk) 23:20, 16 March 2025 (UTC)

Mystic Stone drop
The mining page for mystic stone says it can be found in the Volcano Dungeon too. However the Prismatic Shard page doesn't list Volcano as a possible location for Mystic Stone. Is it an out of date information? // vad (talk) 22:13, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
