Smoked Fish
I appreciate your efforts to get rid of stub pages! However, before proceeding, please read Help:Editing. Pay particular attention to the section describing how images update, and the section regarding templates.
Smoked fish prices cannot be calculated using a simple formula. In the game code, they are cast as floats, then integers, then floats again, etc. resulting in prices that are sometimes 3-5 gold more or less than what they would be using a simple formula.
I have a spreadsheet of prices gained empirically, by spawning and selling each one in the game. When time permits, I will update the wiki. If you want to repeat that process, you are free to do so, but all template changes need to be discussed thoroughly before being implemented. Ideally, they will be implemented by someone who has the desire and ability to change them in all 12 languages.
If the solutions to stub articles were simple, they would have been done already. Thank you for your enthusiasm! Now it's time to take a step back and think through the whole process before making edits. Thank you, margotbean (talk) 18:09, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- I didnt know that the fromula was that complicated! I was doing it in the wrong order making the table first. I am truly sorry and whenever i try to do something new, I will do the whole thing before saving anything to the wiki, please forgive me for my actions!!!.
- While i'm here I have a question for you: Reading the guides for editing the wiki I saw that before making a change it is good to suggest it first in the Talk page, but for things like wrong information that i tested, for example in the furniture page it said: "All wall hangings available in the Furniture Catalogue can not also be purchased from the Traveling Cart." wich is a straight up lie, can i change things like this without putting in the talk page? - Changes can be made as long as it's obvious that the information is incorrect or you indicate how you know it's incorrect (either in the comment to the edit, or a talk page). margotbean (talk) 18:26, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
