Geodes
Hello! I believe my comment to your edit about opening geodes requires more explanation. The contents of geodes, treasure troves, mystery boxes, and golden coconuts is predetermined at the start of every game. (This is because true randomness in computing doesn't exist, and some very smart people have figured out how to predict what "random" item a computer will choose when asked to pick one.)
So, my comment about submitting a bug report was based on the idea that you had found a way to alter the randomness of these items. Upon reading your comment on my talk page and re-reading your edit, I see that isn't the case.
In fact, opening any geode alters the contents of the other goedes. Similarly, opening a Treasure Trove alters the contents of Golden Coconuts, and vice-versa. If you go to the Stardew Predictor site mentioned here: Geode#External Links, there is more information about how that works.
In the future, please remember to sign any comments you make on talk pages with 4 tildes, so I know who made the comment. Thank you! margotbean (talk) 16:20, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
